A very fun game for this age group is imitating sounds and movements. During this phase, your baby is capable of imitating you and can also clap their hands, make faces and act all sorts of cute. Say “mama” or “papa”, cough, stomp your feet, move your head… You’ll have tons of fun! During this age, it’s curious to observe that the little one’s sounds and babbling seem to make some sort of sense, but this happens only because they use similar speech patterns and tonalities as you do. A good way to stimulate the baby to talk is by reading to them, singing and talking. Another really cute thing that 8-month-olds start doing during this stage is giving kisses. So, kiss your child on the face and offer your face for them to kiss back. There’s no better stimulus!
